Privacy
This explains what we do with your information. It applies to wgbullion.com and to anything you send the desk.
Who is responsible
W.G Bullion, registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, is the data controller. Write to wgholdingsltd@outlook.com about anything on this page.
What we collect
When you order: your name, delivery and billing address, email address, telephone number if you give one, and the details of what you bought.
When you write to us: whatever you put in the message.
Where the law requires it: identity documents, and a record of the checks we made.
When you use the site: the ordinary technical information a website receives, and cookie data as described below.
We do not see or store your card details. Payments are handled by the payment providers connected to the store, and card data goes to them, not to us.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
To perform the contract with you — taking the order, dispatching the gold, arranging insurance and handling a buy-back.
To meet legal obligations — tax and accounting records, and the identity and record-keeping duties that apply to dealers in high value goods.
For our legitimate interests — answering enquiries, preventing fraud, and keeping the site working.
With your consent — non-essential cookies, and marketing email if you ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who it is shared with
Shopify, which hosts and runs the store. Our payment providers. The insured carrier that delivers your gold. Our accountants. And law enforcement or a regulator where we are required to disclose.
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies
The site sets cookies that are necessary to run the basket and the checkout, and — only if you accept them — cookies that measure how the site is used. You are asked when you first arrive, and you can change your mind.
How long it is kept
Order and accounting records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Identity records are kept for the period set by the money laundering rules. Enquiries that do not lead to an order are deleted once they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to how we are using it, or ask for it in a portable form. Some of these rights are limited where the law requires us to keep a record — we will tell you if that applies.
Write to the address above. If you are not satisfied with the answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
