Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to every order placed with W.G Bullion, trading as W Gold. Please read them before ordering; placing an order means you accept them.
1. Who we are
W.G Bullion, registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Contact: wgholdingsltd@outlook.com.
2. Prices
Prices are quoted in pounds sterling and move with the London gold market. A price shown on this site is live at the moment it is displayed and is not held. The price that applies to your order is the price displayed at the point the order is placed and paid for.
Investment gold is exempt from VAT in the United Kingdom, so no VAT is charged on any item in this catalogue.
3. Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm acceptance of it. We may decline an order — for example where an item has sold, where a price has been displayed in error, or where we are unable to complete identity checks.
Where a price is obviously wrong, we will contact you and give you the choice of confirming at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
4. Payment
Payment is due in full at the time of order. Because the metal moves, we cannot hold an unpaid order at a quoted price. Where payment fails or is delayed, the order may be cancelled and re-quoted at the price then current.
5. Cancellation and returns
Investment gold is priced by reference to a financial market that we do not control. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 that places it outside the usual fourteen day right to cancel. Orders for bullion therefore cannot be cancelled once accepted, and are not returnable simply because the gold price has moved.
This does not affect your legal rights where goods are faulty, not as described, or not delivered. In those cases contact us and we will put it right.
6. Delivery and risk
Gold is dispatched fully insured within the United Kingdom, in plain packaging that does not identify the contents. A signature is required on delivery. Risk passes to you when the goods are delivered to the address you gave, or to a person at that address who accepts them.
Please check the packaging and the contents on arrival and tell us the same day if anything is wrong. Insurance cover depends on it.
7. Buying back
We will buy back anything we sold you, at the market on the day you ask. A buy-back is a separate contract at the price quoted at that time. It is not a guarantee of profit and it is not a right of return.
8. Identity and record keeping
As a dealer in high value goods we are required to verify identity and to keep records for certain transactions, and to report where the law requires it. We may ask for identity documents before completing an order, or before buying gold from you.
9. Tax
Statements on this site about VAT and Capital Gains Tax are general information about how those exemptions operate in the United Kingdom. They are not tax advice, and your own position may differ. Take your own advice.
10. Liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise our liability in respect of an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for loss arising from movements in the gold price.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
